Unlucky Am I…. Poem by MBJ Pancras

Unlucky Am I….

Unlucky am I a creature on this stage:
When I need anything, I fall into loss,
When I don't need, chances fall at large.
I was born sans knowledge on earth,
Yet been called out of chasm into Christ,
And am filled with wisdom by His Grace.
What hath made me unlucky I know not,
Why am I in troubled waters I know less,
He magnified me within and bound in walls,
Blessed with aptitude, but veiled to exposure:
Notes and melody rooted within, but for me,
Power and muscle of art inborn, but for me,
Thoughts and pen blessed within, but shine not,
Wit and knowledge bestowed, but roll in circle,
Blessed with discretion and prudence, and tied in bits.
A person with a vision I wanted to look ahead,
I sought varied chances, but all end in fiasco,
I know not why fiascos rule my domain,
I've travelled miles and my ways been jagged,
Yet, an Unseen Light hath been with me,
Materialistic proceeds may not be in my Calling,
May be my journey on earth in His Control.
I ought not to think I'm unlucky on earth,
When I need anything, I need patience,
When I don't need, let me not grumble,
I may not be unlucky, but lucky to be in Him
Let me not grumble on earth as life as such.
I'm a needle on the grooves moving in the record,
And it's predestined that preaches His Plan.
So, needless to say ‘luck' or ‘ill luck' on earth,
And let's look at the Saviour who has showed the Way.
