Carpe Diem Poem: Unmasked Today
The world lends names and ready paths,
Costumes stitched with careful lies;
But time is short for borrowed skins
And secondhand alibis.
I choose my voice before it fades,
My honest step, my naked will;
For living masked is slower death
Than standing flawed—and still.
Let judgment pass like weather through,
I will not wait for kinder days;
The self I hide is what I lose
Each time I delay my gaze.
So seize this hour, unedited,
Let truth be lived, not saved for when;
To live authentically—right now—
Is how a life begins again.
