Unpaid Watchman Poem by AtreyaSarma Uppaluri

Unpaid Watchman

Throw him a little morsel of food
Just once;
Stone him to bleed
Still he wags his tail in gratitude
And stays a lifelong shadow
That free unpaid watchman
The dog.
