Unschmackhaft - Poem by Francis Santaquilani

Santa is in the creche!
Cradling baby Jesus
In his mittens.

Mary and Joseph seem
Grateful for the break.

Fiber optic angels?
Hover above
On a shelf.

Germans, in the states on business,
Snicker at the chocolates.

'Billigkeit' and 'unschmackhaft'
are the words I thought I overheard.

Had to use an online translator. Fun poem. Holidays are often ridiculous, but chocolate is a serious matter, and our chocolate is truly not up to the task. (Report) Reply
