Unshakable Poem by Moliehi Khojane

Unshakable

The kingdom in me cannot be shaken
Impenetrable
Imposing it stands
Gusts and gales can't sent it aflutter
Nor tumbling down into a messy, dusty rubble
Needle-thin thorns guard its gateways
To keep foes at bay
For unabated they want forced entry
Elements take turns and go's at it
But strong as a mountain
I stand firm
My grip unmistakable
Challenging the test of time in open defiance

The fire coursing in me cannot be reduced to but dusts of dying embers
But roaring in strength it leaps and licks
Trials and fiery darts it scorches
Unmoved I stand

The roaring lion in me cannot be tamed nor silenced
Its pounces an epitome of my sustained prowess
My roar pierces the still air to the very eternity

I am the fire superior,
I devour fires
Cold and hot alike they stand no chance
My stare alone freezes them into a towering pillar of nothingness
Dare not prod me
Nor poke me
For my implosive turns explosive in an instant

Unshakable
