Unspoken Promise Poem by Nancy Crossman

Unspoken Promise

I have made my share of mistakes,
But I must have done something right.
As I sit beside you, watching you sleep,
Clutching your teddy bear tight.
You’ve given to me, life’s greatest gift,
Precious grandchild of mine,
Your unconditional love is the light,
That makes the moon and stars shine.
Grammy adores you my little one,
And I have right from the start.
You hold a place that’s yours alone,
Forever in Grammy’s heart.
Sleep tight my darling angel,
Your dreams be filled with smiles,
Grammy will stay right here with you,
And watch you sleep for a while.
I pray that I will be around,
Through your journey into a man.
I’ll love you then like I love you now,
As only a grandmother can.
I promise I will be there for you,
You can share your thoughts with me,
Grammy will always listen to you,
And never judge, you will see.
My promise to you is unspoken,
But you know how much I care.
This bond we share is like nothing else,
And we both know that it’s there.

This beautiful love of a Grandmother is very nicely presented. Every child needs and requires the love of their grandparents to clear their doubts and improve their self-confidence........
