Unspoken Sorrows Poem by Syed Zohair Rizvi

Unspoken Sorrows

Broad like the daylight,
Dark as the day slowly passing by, The cry of the heart,
Stopping time to time.
The garb of joy it bears,
Wrapped in the loom the world
likes to see;
Might avert the gaze
If the cover was to reveal.

Reveal, what lies beneath; Unspoken sorrows,
And limtless agony.
Then He turns the wheel,
The stage cast changes.
The spotlight hits those dark places.

The push you get
From the cheering crowd,
Few hands are the trumpets of clamor,
Praying in the crowd.
The zeal to go on having, rekindled;
Started mending the aching soul.
Smearing the dregs of courage,
To the shredded canvas, Awaiting a new morning With the daylight of Hope.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poet struggles to find hope in the ever changing world. He believes in the fact that there are only a few people who appreciate what one does while the others remain anonymous. He tries to appreciate his journey and what he has done so far. He knows only a few people will applaud and is aware he is on the verge of losing hope. But then he believes in the stage director (the God, the superpower, whatever the reader can associate with) that he shall rotate the roles and the cast will get the spotlight as and when the director deems fit. Until then the poet has to find the hope to carry on, much like the Sun that comes up in the sky everyday despite the preceding dark nights.
