I am as nature
Soft and calm and wild
Like a breeze
The softness of it, not too cold and not too warm
Or like the rain
The hardness of it, too ragged and too lost
I am as the flowers in gardens
Pretty to look at, prettier to destroy
The people,
how they pluck us, crush us and hurt us
They hold us in the palm of their hands
And step on us with their feet
I am as a beast
Sad and lonely and angry
Sick of being tamed and exploited
I am harmed emotionally in various ways
Tired of being called by words
that hurt me and eat at me
I am as wild as a storm
Strong and fractured
My emotions that are uncontrollable and overwhelming
They are eager to break free
They cannot,
what if,
I am the problem
I am the problem
I am the problem
Am I?
