Untitled Poem by XingXing Chan

Untitled

gathering blue
one day I'll make something for you
blue is the sky
blue is the waters
blue is his shirt I find precious
I can find
the colors of the rainbow
tucked safely under the threads of a robe
or beneath the skin I wear
white is motionless to me
red is vivid but blue is rare
orange is soothing but blue is calm
yellow is bright but blue is clean
green is healthy but blue is loyal
purple is noble but blue is peaceful
blue unites the friendships
and trusts and confidences
that you and me have shared
I can feel blue
radiant from your heart
do you feel mine
weaved between the talent I wear?
blue is rare
but you found it
and found him too
my mind is almost completed
yet I must try that journey
those seconds and minutes
you used for me
and paying them back will be hard
but I think
you will understand
when I gather some blue for you
