Untitled Poem by Jennifer Kilby

Untitled

The moonlight settles on you face
So silently I lay here
Gazing on an angels face
I watch you breath in and out
Wondering what this is all about
We play this game like we don’t care
We act like the feelings aren’t there
But I can see it in you eyes
Behind the tough man disguise
That you feel something inside
But that no longer matters
For no more will I wait
Hoping for that day
You will come to see
That you just might really love me
