Untitled Poem by ale cng

Untitled

Beautiful words uttered that rippled over my body,
I shuttered
I wanted repetition
But the second time he stuttered
And the beautiful became pretty
To then being gritty
To then being futile and petty,
As if he was out there to get me
And I wasn't ready to carry the heavy weight of obligation
So he backed off of aniticipation
Then I wanted to be steady
But he wouldn't let me
Gently stepping off the role we were playing
And taking back all he was saying
Then the love was delaying i muttered
For he wasn't staying and making me want more
But his feelings for me were poor
So I stepped off and let him go
So no more feelings would show
