Untitled Poem by Marela Lauzán

Untitled

This strange language
that endures within me
-ever there, unwithering-
is an enchanted wellspring
of wide-awake wonders,
intoxicating both nard bright star
with mystery serene-
outstretching arms
for closely shared embrace!
Lush florid spikes
of full-grown sweet delights
envelop the dawning
of my verse,
and there is no age-
no shadow ominous-
to jeopardize the crafting
of my laurels.
