Untitled Poem by Evan Skora

Untitled

Rating: 5.0

Tears fall from my eyes,
A leaf falls from the tree,
Soon, all the leaves are gone,
Soon, all the tears are gone.

Cars drive by,
Day by day,
Minute by minute,
Second by second.

The world slows to a gentle stop,
The world stops,
Yet I,
Stay in motion.

In the middle of the street,
A body lies,
Blood trickles from the head to the drain,
A crashed car lies sideways.

Like looking in a mirror,
I stared at myself,
Wondering what happened,
What got me this way.
