Untitled Poem by Frances M. Donberger

Untitled

Wait until tomorrow, things will be different.
Another thoughtless day.
The sun rises, a ball of fire glowing red and gold
Across the placid water.
Time goes by - slowly, quietly.
The sun sets, trailing pink and orange roads across
A deep blue sky.
Wait until tomorrow, things will be different.
Another thoughtless, uncaring day.
The sun rises, an identical replica of yesterday.
Time holds heavy, as a burden I am unable to bare.
The sun sets, releasing my burdens for a little while.
Wait until tomorrow, things will be different.
Another thoughtless, uncaring and lonely day.
The sun rises, and I rise.
Things will be different.
I too will be thoughtless.
I too will be uncaring.
But - I too will be lonely.
