Untitled Poem by Michael Liu

Untitled

One charming day there was a stranger,

who took his heart out for a wager.

pocket aces ran his blood cold,

steaming and furious he lay down his soul.

deuce seven offsuit lost him the duel,

but says this fool:

For the rest of my years, I’ll work as a mule.

But Alas,

On the poker table posessions never lasts,

He says

one last request, could you lower your mask.

A chuckle, came the answer,

and there he was, staring at a mirror.
