Untold History Poem by Shelley Jones

Untold History

How many hands built
And rebuilt this wall
Of grey limestone and
Purple sand?
Who stuck in the red
Brick when nothing else
Was to hand?
Who mixed the lime
To make a mortar
That has stood the
Test of time?
I touch this wall
I salute these men
Many hands in mine
