Untold Poem Poem by Rachel Branscombe

Untold Poem

The stories untold
The pain unfelt
The moments never witnessed
The horrors unseen

Naught can describe
The things of the past
The wars, the battles, the deaths
The helpless lives destroyed

None can comprehend
The pain that lasts
Not days or months but lifetimes
The children left alone

Words cannot explain
The darkness of our history
The terrible deeds of before
That stay with us in today

What person could tell
How deep the pain runs
How memories are hidden
And lives are forgotten

The stories untold
The pain unfelt
The horrors unseen
The events that shall be remembered
