Up And Down The Street

Are you quite sure to ascend
Through Heaven's Door above
With Jesus Christ as Lord and friend
Deep in the arms of love

Is it truly your heart's desire
Since finding truth, that day
You'll not see hell, nor feel it's fire
Living walking life's Way

Is really truly no other
Does someone else agree
That one's siblings, father mother
Never perhaps you'll see

Unless Christ they believe like you
Willing and unafraid
Escape by faith, life's sentence due
Through Jesus offer made

Pray, come tell me a little more
If Jesus died for me
If He's life's key through Heaven's Door
How do I fail to see?

I know you're not a fool my friend
You're neither drunk nor ill
With wisdom's, knowledge you defend
Admirably your will

I've spoke of you oft down the street
Like you! some seemed first odd
Saying they too quite often meet
Learning life's Way to God

Which made me think afresh on you
How bad inside I feel
Perhaps from now, I'll change my view
Like you, see Christ is real.....
