When the moths are on the rise
and the sparrows camouflage;
when the sun peeks in between the clouds
i unfetter myself off the fuzzy dream's entourage
as soon the darkness melts into the horizon
bleat of goats like tides dash into ears' core;
and the house maids get up in the early morn
to complete the yester-night's left out chore
as the children with rucksack on their back
walk to school as per the promises they keep;
and the plowmen plod their way to the field
with ballads of unknown source on their lips
before moments melt like ice with the rising sun
and before my little mount complains
to be grazed and pampered in the new morn
i arise and awake to gallop past leas and plains
although the roads are bumpy,
and the path ahead is not straight or easy;
but I am hell-bent on to move on to meet aim
and until evening like a tortoise I'll be busy.
