Upon Your Screen Poem by Barry Dummett

Upon Your Screen

Rating: 4.0

The mobile chimes and it's a text
You wonder what could happen next
A message that has come so far
Proposing a journey in a car
You realise how I am so keen
When you read my text upon your screen

A detailed itinerary arrives by email
From someone so thoughtful it could never fail
A long weekend away among the vines
With pleasant company and cool mountain wines
Caring and sharing, you know what I mean
Now you have read my email upon your screen

You open up an attached verse
Words to you which you can immerse
Thinking how you will never know
What you will miss if you do not go
So, choose to come to a place so serene
After you read this poem upon your screen
