Upside Down Sun Poem by Devin Martin

Upside Down Sun

Where there is light, there isn't always joy
The pain and struggle isn't there to annoy
Fame and dreams aren't the answer to all means
A cloud in the blue can blow away into nonexistence
But a tree can meet the wind and you'll never miss it.
Seeing that a star is always in sight
But to reach for it, you'll extend into forever height
The sun is hot but the world is cold
Blood is thicker but water can heal the soul
Winter time cold
Waiting on the rose to spring like the season
Fall time snug
Looking at the leaves descend enjoying the warmth like a hug.
Time is seen as it ticks
But the eye is blind to the world as it spins
You can't start over
There isn't a button for it
Your life will continue
So keep your eyes out of the rearview
