Us Poem by Iain Prior

Us

We rest in the bosom of mother earth,
And sleep in quiet virtual death,
Once we sparked as bright as a flame,
In unseen lands from whence we had came,
We knew you not as we would wish,
We gave you life one day you will miss,
And in your heart you feel our flame,
We parted in peace and dignity in pain.
