Usa Poem by Rue Palmer

Usa

America, the Beautiful and Complex

Oh, America, land of the free,
Where dreams are born beneath liberty's tree.
Your mountains rise, your rivers flow,
A beacon of hope, where courage can grow.

I love your spirit, bold and bright,
Your endless pursuit of what feels right.
The voices that march, the songs that unite,
The battles for justice in the darkest night.

But, oh, the shadow, it lingers still,
A scar upon valleys and every hill.
Racism's poison, a lingering chain,
A stain on freedom, a source of pain.

It seeks to divide, to build a wall,
Yet love and truth can conquer all.
For every heart, regardless of hue,
Deserves a world that's just and true.

America, I love your endless fight,
Your struggles to turn wrongs to right.
Let unity grow, let justice gleam,
And build a future where all can dream.
