I wish i wish apon a star to find out who you really are
We used to be close we used to be tight
And now when i see you I just dont feel right
I knew what you were feeling I knew what you thought
And now i dont even know what you want
Watching you go through life this way
Making mistakes day after day
I looked at an old photo today
Of a smilling happy little girl
Who used to believe she could be anything in the world
She believed in herself why did that change?
Did it change the day you started popping champagne or taking a hit here and there getting high to try and hide the pain of your parents separating you were never the same
You thought you had to grow up and be on your own
You turned to drugs you turned cold
When I look at you I feel your pain
I see a smile that you always fake
I see a laugh that you force to come out
I see dead dreams forgotten but you once had
Then I see that girl you were
could it really of been just 3 years ago
Innocent and Free
Life was just a breeze
I wish you could be who you used to be
Wont you please come back to me
I miss that old girl i used to be
