A thief has come in
And cut out the ends
To our perfectly woven excuse
And unravel it does
As we watch from above
Without it, what is the use?
And the time to unwind
Leaves a spark in our minds
As we start spiraling out of control
With one backward glance
We get stuck in a trance
With no one and nothing to hold
It once brought us up
A lovable cause
Our skin and eyes bathed in flame
But now it’s worn out
A false jaded truth
It’s all that we have left to blame
