Vaginal Monologue Poem by Ce Cani

Vaginal Monologue

I used to be scared of blood
Innocent blood that came out of flowers
Innocent blood that stained my fear
I used to be scared of blood
I'm still scared of blood

I look at my soul and lose confidence
I look at the circle before me and transform into a plant ☘️
Hoping to see the sunlight
I breath and watch time go away
This is how i exhale and germinate

I used to be scared of blood
I'm still scared of blood
I watch flowers bleed
I watch things fall apart
I call it a planting process
This is how exhale and germinate

I'm still scared of blood
Although the earth is healing
I can smell it through petals
I can feel the sand in my hand
Losing away from the weight of tiredness
I'm no longer scared of blood
Now i speak blood into my circle
I feel loamy during the season
A germinating plant ready to grow into a wilder hibiscus

I'm no longer scared of blood
The soil in me is natural
It's a beautiful blossom
I used to be scared of blood
Now i hear the circle in me
Speaking about fertility
