Vain. Poem by Maria Klette

Vain.

The universe, a vast blue sea,
From shore to shore, it stretches wide,
A boundless space which we can't see,
A place where worlds and stars abide.

Compared to the cosmic tide,
We are mere specks in time and space,
Our worries, small and quickly dried,
A raindrop in this endless race.

Yet still we journey on our way,
We live our lives and dream our dreams,
And though we're small, we have a say,
In this great universe, it seems.
