A weeklong festival
As celebrated in India
Tree plantation week
A festival of life-
With oddity and zeal
Usually celebrated yearly
Between 1st. and 7th July.

Creating awareness-
For conservation of forests
And environment awareness
A vast drive for planting new trees.

Joining hands making a change
Planting trees to save the earth
As guardians of nature's birth-
Sitting whilst in the shade of trees
For the earth has music so sweet
For those who madly listen to it!

Nature of man's future depends
On the future of Mother Nature
Taking a quite walk along with-
Nurturing body, mind and soul
For celebrating Van Mahotsav.
