Vanishing Thoughts - Poem by Sarah Pesta
There are times when I have to wonder
Can I be sure of what I am thinking?
What will happen if my thoughts are gone?
Should I go on or turn around?
Even though I can hear my thoughts
I will never come to a decision that I need to take
My mind is not helping me at all
I can hear my heart sleeping
The choice is hard to make this time
One other option comes clear to me
I'll take the option and risk forgetting
My thoughts are vanishing and soon won't exist
