Venereus Poem by Bruce Hayno

Venereus

Burning like infernal flames
Inextinguishable, eternal fire
Boiling blood, engorged vessels
Hot saligian desire
A primal thirst, unquenchable
A dark hunger, insatiable
Curled toes, silent screams
Howling from Lupanaria
Relinquishing control to the moon
Moving to the beat, the rhythm
faster, slower, harder, deeper
Erupting like a volcano
Exploding into a quasar
Quivering, numb, sweaty
Sleep calls but instinct
Louder
Again
To the second circle of hell we descend.
