Verbatim - A Horror Poem Poem by Abigayle Akemon

Verbatim - A Horror Poem

It has been simply noted
That simply trying to spit out the demons
Wasn't enough for the changes to cease
For a worthwhile time.

This notation was kept quiet until
One fateful night -
Verbatim, as I must say -
A truly horrifying sight was revealed to the public within no notice.

For as a man,
Who had simply struggled with life,
Had changed from mere mortal to beast
In front of us.

He had trashed the place and wrecked it,
Just as how he had been wrecked with the guilt
Of those he had slain.

I had stood there in shock as to what had happened,
since this was an old memory
Of mine.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspired by some horror authors and music. I was inspired on a whim to make this due to me reading some Edgar Allan Poe and some Stephen King. Plus, It's short, and I'm sorry for that.
