Vibrance Poem by jasper jcs

Vibrance

A strange historic day it was when my friends dove in the cellar door.
Should have known that it would be no ordinary gardening store.
A bizarre old man led us down a dark and putrid corridor.
He said we would never be the same once we jumped the bus up north.

We arrived to find tribes of adolescence gathering round the pit of fire.
Watching the flames grow and grow screamer 'higher! , God, higher!
If there is anything out there, you must fuel my desire!
Release me from reality before I grow old and tired! '

Then suddenly I awoke to such an inappropriate silence.
And I think it was only a medium to be free from all the tyrants.
The parents, the teachers, and all the dull confinements.
To be free from society and all of its alignments.
