Vita In Christo Poem by Kojo Bonney

Vita In Christo

Between the bridge of the days
I saw a sign of dismay

Like a bird my soul left me
Being a mortal didn't know what may be
I saw my being lay helpless like a beam
I saw the left, right and in between
I saw the burden of life left in me

I saw light and darkness mixed together
I saw right and wrong in bed
I saw the freedom of being born
And the vanity of living
I saw the lie we enjoy and the purpose of believing.

Without Christ Life is a curse,
Without Christ every river flows to the sea
And the sea is death
Without Christ every fruit rips to fall,
Fall asleep they said
But curse is the sleep of death, silent in darkness without a link to reconnect. That I believe it's a lie.

For days go and never stop
The river flows and never ends
So life must go and come again.

The savior came and died alone
Days passed and then He rose.
I thought death was the end
But Christ died to reconnect.
He caused life to reign again and made death a gain of life better than this

Death is baptism, an initiation to an everlasting living
Death is never the end it is the beginning of kingship

Without Christ we live a lie
