What does your voice do,
And how can it fit your view?

Your voice is a powerful tool,
Even used by the mouths of fools.

People talk to each other all day,
And also use their voice to pray.

What we say is our choice,
But some cannot freely use their voice.

They are not allowed to share their opinion
Because someone is trying to claim dominion.

They are trying to take their freedom away.
The freedom of speech that we use everyday.

Speeches to change others cannot be told,
Like ones that were heard in days of old.

But their words get through the smallest breaches,
And have been heard as far as the earth reaches.

These people decided to speak out
And say things without any doubt.

Some speeches have passed the trial of time
And hearing the words doesn't cost a dime.

Their words have caused many others to act.
But still mighty enough to spur more to react.

Others will say it should be mused.
This is one way your voice can be used.

Even if you cannot physically speak,
That does not mean you are weak.

Pick up a pencil and start to write.
This is also a way to spread around light.


Your voice alone is a great help to others
And can unite us all like blood brothers.

Your voice can be used as a powerful thing,
Changing the world with the hope that it brings.
