Africa, divided we are weak;
United, we'll become the greatest continent
the world has ever seen.
Don't let trespassers divide us.
Malawi's independence is meaningless without liberating other African nations.

Action without thought is blind;
Thought without action, empty.
Africa, find African solutions to our problems.
Unity is the answer.

A united Africa will rise as the greatest nation,
With one currency, defeating and collapsing
the dollar's reign.
Africa's earth is rich, yet its wealth benefits others,
Not Africans, but foreign groups and individuals.

We, Africa's leaders, have awakened;
No more sleep, no more submission
