Wait For Life Poem by Matthew Jenkins

Wait For Life

Rating: 5.0

I sit, I stare, I cry, I wait,
To finally show my love has grown so great.
To be by your side through thick and thin,
Would you forgive me for all my sins?
I counter my attacks by denying our love,
Now the only answers can come from above.
To let the world know just what I mean,
When I say my love for you is so clean.
A thousand tears have shed since I last saw your face,
A quarter year's love is lost in time's space.
With each passing moment and breath that I take,
I silently sleep, dreaming of you, I wait.
To think it's only been one year,
An undying love has cost me to fear.
Everytime you cry my heart cries too,
And everytime you laugh I laugh with you.
For you my love has no end,
I patiently wait for you, and for my life to begin.
