Wait In Vain Poem by Irish Cueto

Wait In Vain

Rating: 5.0

From the first time you and I met
Your funny face I can’t forget
I never thought, to you, I bet
That I’d fall for you no regret

I thought its only infatuation
But then it grew to a love sensation
Dreaming we can be in a relation
Would always be my imagination

I wish we can be together
Loving each other forever
But that dream won’t come true, never
I know you can’t love me ever

To love you, for me is an agony
Cause I know that you can never love me
Its not that I’m giving you up already
But I’m not the one who’ll make you happy

I just want you to know one thing
In my life you are the meaning
When I sleep it’s you I’m dreaming
Is it true love I’m feeling?

There are times when I thought I should give up
But every time I try you make me stop.
Every time you come near, my heart rate drop
But when you’re with her my heart starts to pop.

Loving you is waiting in vain.
Forgetting you makes me insane.
Seeing you with someone brings pain
That will make me cry in the rain.

Every time we talk it brings me back my hope
That our hearts, with each other they can cope.
And they will never part like a tied rope.
I swear to love you even to the Pope.

When I see you I feel the rush.
When you’re with me I start to blush.
When we’re close I begin to hush.
Feels like I am covered with mush

Waiting in vain for your love to be mine
Even though it’s hard, I know I’ll be fine
All I need is to lay it on the line.
Cause your love’s like having the finest wine.
