Waiting Poem by Alexandro Hernandez

Waiting

I don't know what it is about her
That keeps her on my mind
Maybe it's the way her hair
Bounces when she walks
The way her eyes
Light up when she smiles
The sweet sound that echo's
When she talks
The way she always glows
With a heavenly shine
The way she runs her
Fingers through her hair
The way I can still
Smell her scent
Even when she's not there
The way people love
To be near her
Because they can feel
That she cares

She is the sweetest girl
I have ever met
And I would do anything
To have her by my side
But I haven't got
The nerve up yet
To tell her how much
She stays on my mind
And I would treat her
Better than he ever could
I hate the way he's got
Her under his belt
Feeding her lies
And breaking her
Heart in two
But I know that one day
She will wake up and see
That the one who truly
Loves her
Was right here waiting
