Waiting Poem by Brad Glover

Waiting

Rating: 4.0

I wait each day to see your smile
for in my darkest days it will carry me away
(I wait)
When you are in my arms, our lips entwined
so soft, yet so powerful
i float away, and time stands still
but forever is too short
(I wait)
Like the sun to a flower i grow
with you, your spirit wraps me
and holds me tight,
The sun twinkles in your eyes
glowing, glistening
calling me, I come
(Yet i must wait)
I lie awake at night
dreaming, waiting for the day
that you take my hand
and we can walk away
as one forever
(Waiting)
