Waiting - Poem by Tommy D'Attore

I know who it is
But I don’t
I can see her
Silhouette in my mind
But no image resonates
We used to play together
Best of friends
But you disappeared
And now I sit here
Everyday
Trying to remember you
When no one else does
I’ll be sitting here
On the dock edge
Waiting for your
Destined return
