Waiting Poem by Sarah Holmes

Waiting

Waiting,
It’s all I used to do.
Waiting,
Waiting for you.

Every second,
An hour,
Every minute,
A day.
And when we were together,
Time slipped away.

Everything,
A reminder.
Everything,
Brings the pain.
I wish I could see you,
And hear you call my name.

Friendship all gone now,
Love has been lost.
Where are you now?
Somewhere I’m not.

All I have are memories,
Locked up inside,
And to my angel
I’ll say…
Goodbye.
