Waiting... Poem by Bancroft Boreland

Waiting...

I am infected with a disease called loneliness
Your love is the only cure
A thousand times I ring the doorbell to your heart
But you never open the door
Within my heart you are at the core

For you I’ll put my love on ice
So it remains frozen
Or should I put it in a secure location
So it won’t be stolen
My love for you will never be broken
My love for you has no end

The seasons may change
But my love remains the same
Give me just one chance
I just need a little of your love, not much
One percent would be more than enough
I just want you and me to be us
To you this promise I make
That even if it takes forever, I’ll wait…
