Waiting Poem by Collin Bishop

Waiting

When summer's days reached their end
Ceding to longer, colder nights of fall
Wantonly, longingly
I waited

Our home
Your home
Empty
Hollow
Silent

But no more
No
More
No more quiet
No more empty
No more waiting

You're back
I'm back
We're back
