Waiting For Christmas Poem by Nicole Fernando

Waiting For Christmas

Smell the cinnamon that suns through the air.
The fireplace lit up bright.
For the Christmas tree still lays bare,
waiting to be covered in light.

The decorations taken out of the cupboard.
And the Christmas curtains being put up.
The living room all cluttered and
hot chocolate swaying in your cup.

The hanging of the mistletoe,
The excitement of meeting those dear.
Oh falling winter snow!
Show me Christmas is near.
