Waiting For It To End. - Poem by Harith Danial

When I first saw your face,
I knew that I had to give chase,
Though my heart had been broken too many times,
I wanted you to be mine.

I tried my very best,
Hoping that you would say yes,
My heart broke when you said no,
And it tore me when you said I had to go.

The next few weeks was hell,
As everything i saw, rang a bell,
I was happy when I saw you that day,
But then, I knew you weren't gonna stay.

I had countless of sleepless nights,
Not because of all the lights,
But because I always reminisce about the past,
When I made a promise to myself, that I would make it last.

False hope was all that you can give,
Oh how I wish I wasn't being deceived,
Thinking back, I shouldn't be sad,
Even though you were all I ever had.

As I lay on my bed,
I think of the words I should've said,
It's now I realize,
Without you I'm paralyzed.

You wouldn't know how I feel,
As you thought what we had wasn't real,
I beg to differ,
I've always thought you were my significant other.

I did everything I could,
Everything a guy should,
Little did I know then,
You were only waiting for it to end.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This poem is about a girl that I liked. We talked everyday. We met a couple of times. Everything was going well. Till another guy entered and she just left me. You always wanna know why she chose the other guy but you don't always get a reason..
