Waiting On Sunrise Poem by Tom Squires

Waiting On Sunrise

In the mist upon
A distant shore
Dividing lines
Are seen no more
In the long unfolding
Garment of velvet night
We withstood in laughter
And long embrace
Until the sun
Was on our face
The lady from
The house in green
Satisfied her emerald seen
Turned and walked
The long way home at last
