Waiting Part 2 Poem by alex manson

Waiting Part 2

i like to be wrong
i like to break the rules
i love the darkness and its sweet song
you care not for my soul.
soul, soul, what is this
i have not
the light chewed into my wrists
and the absence of soul began another thought.
oh look at you
nothing to worry about, just smiling everyday
so brand new
i'd like to trash your ways.
i want to destroy your fairytale
because i can and i'd love to
the light won't care, the light fails
no one will come to your rescue.
i'll hide you away
lock you up so you can never get free
because i'm sick of everyday
and you never cared about me.
you were out for yourself
now who owns the smile
i don't want anyone else
i've been so sick of you for a while.
i've killed you
stripped you of your soul and took it for my own
i step into the light, shiny and new
to escape being alone.
they knew me
so they cast me out of the light
i fell back to skeletons and not being free
trapped in darkness, walking into fright.
