Waiting To Be Set Free (May 28th,2003)

Don't look at me
and try and say
That you know me
just let me stay
and leave it be
I'm not insane
I have a brain
There's so much more to me
Waiting to be set free
Wanting to run
I feel so dead
With all these thoughts
running through my head
I don't know why
but I try to fit in
I try and I try
but never win
nomatter what I say or do
I still remain insane to you
but that's because
Noone takes the time to see
or even care
about getting to know me
Under my mask
I still feel so alone
Under the flesh
There's so much more than bone
waiting to be set free
Is there really nothing to me
Sometimes I feel that
they're all right
But then again they
don't have the sight
Within, hidden by everyone
like a black hole created by a dying sun
I'm not insane
Wait, you say I am
See I have a brain
See the real me, damn
Please see inside
See past where we all hide
There's so much more to me
Why is it you can't see
Why is it everyone
Sees me as they do
What have I really done
to any of you
I thought being me would
be ok
leave me be
let ME stay
Just smoke some more pot
Cause I guess it's not
If only you all could see
that there is so much more to me
