Wake Up Call Poem by Sudip Das

Wake Up Call

Don't you think, we are color blind?
Truly blind, when you ask us - which
Side you'll choose? - Either liberation war or
Being Pro-Pakistani. What did you think, we don't bother.

Don't you think, we were defeated, by whom?
The Pro-Pakistani out played us.

Why did you ask us those questions? Are you not Bengali? Or the sleepy- head, don't you like to live in
this country? Have you get the option to leave Bangladesh?

We see a lot of people around us, they are coward
or timid. Why are you fainting? Are you selfish?
Rather we may identify you as hoggish?

Are you still hallucinated? Don't you see the beast, - the hyena is laughing. Still you are hallucinated!

The motherland needs you. Don't you hear the call-
' where are you? Get ready for war'. A war to restore our real identity.
