Wake Up World Poem by Tudor Smith

Wake Up World

Rating: 5.0

Wake up world you've seen enough
Truth has been hidden too long
To make you big and make you strong
The model man went wrong?

You were blinded by ambition
False hopes and opulent lies
You took it in unquestioningly
The truth became the lie

Wake up world; your turn to shout
'Enough! ' will be your cry
No longer to be bribed or pushed
Your mind to make, you'll try

But now the dawn is breaking
You see just what they've done
They turn to you denying
Like a loving long lost son

Wake up World it's over
The bubble’s really burst
They pushed it all so far and wide
The last shall be the first

Don’t let them fool you anymore
No nudge, no nod, no wink
A moment to let it all sink in
From here on in: Just think!
